well there is not much of a time to beat if none make it up the hill.. just a little slower and there would be a good event for everyone to fight it out for the best time

Yes, same as it is easy on a trials bike, but hillclimbs are not just about getting to the top, but it's quickest time as well.

Really...I've gone up stuff as steep as that on a 5hp minibike...slow but steady. Getting air going uphill never ends well.
