I never quite understood the whole singing-to-the-notes-you-play thing, and I'm not really a fan of it. I realize it does take crazy amounts of skill and I credit them for that. It's just not my thing I guess.

He was so funny when I saw him at Bass Day UK. He told us of a story whereby he came back from a holiday once, and some property developer had put a camera on Bona's house/recording studio while he was gone (for surveillance). The whirring noise it kept on making put Bona off whilst recording so he got his Katana and hacked off the camera. When the police came, he answered the door with this huge sword, and as he said himself "It's always good to have a weapon" :P

He grew up in a small village in Cameroon. He said at Bass Day UK he never went to a (music) school, I don't know about regular school. He lived in France for a while after Africa.
