No in weirdo-land (also known as japan... Or the USA... Or China... But in this case, Japan) they actually have a pretty big status.. Being "Kawaii" (cute) has become a life goal there... To the geeks that come to those cafe's the "maids" are almost devine creatures... And to little girls they are role models... It's really, really weird... I guess we can speak of a small cultural difference here ;)

Are you sure? You have to be polite to the biggest nerds in the world... The dresses are cute, i agree, but do you relly want to get on you knees and act like a helpless, super-innocent animecharacter all the time?? Personally i would loooove to be all cutie and sweet to them when they come in, and then totally FREAK THEM OUT by turing into an evil wicth-maid ):P *grin* Halloween-visions...
