Anyone who said this scene wasnt great does not have an appreciation for the greatness that it was directed and acted for its time, favorite scene in either of the movies, Gene Wilder played the part as more for an adult perspective, the new Charlie was more of a comedy.

thats a bloody horrible scene.. was that even in the book? a chicken getting its head cut off? th grim reaper mowing? that would give these days children nightmares.
