That line doesnt just go to Exmouth.
Instead of branching off to Exmouth, the line goes off through Honiton, Axmister, etc etc, taking in the Southern Line to London

The class 50's took over from the "westerns" and they were hated at the time for it. as mekydro says below.. you had to be there in the '70s to understand it all. The "Westerns" were and still are the best!

I thought the the 'HELLFIRES' were class 50's. This unit appears to be a hydraulic. Like the red paint scheme, and appears to be a hefty grade.
