he uses double thumbing where he hits the string with his thumb on the way down then on the way up and then pluck twice with his middle and apex finger all in one motion. confusing as hell i tells ya.

It's funny because pop music in the 1930s and 1940s was jazz. Before that it was music played in some of the biggest dives around. It's ironic you say it's bound by laws when in fact one of the main aspects of the music is to BREAK classical conventions. Now guys like Wynton Marsalis make it elitist. I even find the idea of going to a school to learn jazz a bit ridiculous. Oh, and I know about 1000 rock tunes with more complex progressions than songs like "Impressions", which has 2 changes.

Tell that to Wes Montgomery, who actually knows how to use his thumb when playing guitar. The most insulting thing I find about Regi, though I respect his adventurous nature, is the fact that he can actually play like a monster if he wants to. This? This is just garbage.

there both amazing, the only reason regi doesnt sound as good is that slaps sound Way better on a bass than on a guitar....
