The unfortunate aspect about our 2008 political system is that our politicians are doing exactly what you and I are allowing them to do. We cannot blame the politicians anymore than you or I could blame each other for picking up a $20 bill laying in the streets. Steve Earle ROCKS!!! I humbly thank you for writing one of the best "protest songs" since some vague date in the '60's, and for your unswerving integrity. In times like the dreary Bush recent, Steve Earle often flashes at the top of the list when I ask myself, "Well, what's GOOD about the USA?"
