Ron Mael is one of the cleverest and most original lyricists ever. His combination of brilliant word play, not to mention his use of irony and the total absence of cliches, never fail to satisfy in all of Sparks 21 albums and 250+ songs. It is usually people with a low IQ and stunted development in their sensibilities that just don't get it. I mean people like "Godlovesallpeople"; only kindergarten-fodder like him could come up with something like "geeky and dumb" to describe Sparks' lyrics.

it's interesting, because that tiny handful of bands seem to be the limit of your musical taste- bands that have been shoved down the throat of the public by tv and radio. And the fact that you think that the "keyboard player looks like a total freak" shows to me a lot about your ability to comprehend people, styles, and demeanors that are alien to you. Basically you sound dumb.

Said to "Godlovesallpeople" as it said in my email from you that we all who likes Sparks are brainwashed.Didn´t notice that it said so in one of your comment below because I read another one from you.fact is Sparks are one of the most influential acts in music and their 21 albums contains highly different tunes so don´t judge Sparks from one song.Their music grows through listening.You might need to hear it often to appreciate it but it holds well over time.I´m swedish so pardon my english.

Yes you´re entitled to your own opinion but to say that we all who likes Sparks are brainwashed as it said in my email from you that´s strange.Why are we brainwashed just because you happens to not like them?You can´t judge Sparks from just one song of over 250 tunes( alot of variety).His voice is not his best here but great.IMO Without no doubt one of the best singers of all time.Not many can sing like him (and still he can reach high notes at almost 60 years of age).The Mael´s= musical genius.
