How brilliant she was! I am reading two bios of Jackie, one by her sister and brother and another. And I have the DVD where she plays the Elgar cello concerto. According to the bio, Barenboim is only five foot three inches, and Jackie five foot nine! But they fit together perfectly! What a beautiful woman she was. She will live forever!

Maybe I'm the only bassist to see this video, but the first thing I noticed is that Mehta is not nearly up to the level of the other players. Too bad they couldn't have gotten a top-notch bassist rather than a conductor who happens to play bass. Having said that, I still enjoyed the video and especially the chance to see DuPre in action.
