Far from being a "dumb ass" I made a valid point, America is to powerfull to fear the spread of Communism, if you can give me one of the good reasons America has gone to war for over the past 5 decades then please do.

Really? Well, I know a couple of WWII vets that would probably love to hear you say that to their faces. And for the record whenever the United States goes to war there is usually a good reason about it. Dumbass.

I agree. I was lucky enough to see billy Joel perform this in NYC at Madison Square Garden many, many years ago. Although he didn't go to war, and took some heat for this song with out actually going to Vietnam... and I'm happy to say I didn't have to go either. A very powerful song.

Thank you, the most poignant story I heard about the American war in Vietnam was from a Vietnamese man who had lost his whole family, and after all these years, he commented that the worst thing about that war the loss of freedom they all suffered.

I watch the men and women who are shown silently on Public TV,there are no words to describe how I feel about my friends and brothers who gave their lives for us.

Your freedom wasn't at threat though was it? Every war America has just makes their people less free. You are afraid of eveything, all the big bad terrorists and communists, truth of the matter is America is far to big and powerfull to see any of this as a genuine threat to freedom.
