I couldn't agree more. I really stopped listening to the radio and pop music, in general, around 1990. It changed so much, so fast, almost overnight. But this song is one of the few exceptions. Everything about it is beautiful. The music, his voice, the subject matter. Awesome, inspiring music this is.

He had lupus as a child. It does cause hair loss in some people but, it doesn't cause scars. It causes blistering which can sometimes lead to scarring.

no you are right, he had childhood lupus and that's what caused his scars. i used to think he was in a car accident.
