I'm really surprised that the US government would be chomping at the bit to help people in a disaster area when they all but ignored their own citizens during Katrina. Now, we all know that those poor blacks in Louisiana have nothing of value to offer us but I'm really struggling to find a reason (other than international exposure and redemption) as to why the government is bending over backward to help people even poorer than our nation's poorest.

I bet burmese people think we the USA are hypocrites for saying "why wont you let us help you? You dont care about your people?" because of our government's ignorance toward Hurricane Katrina.The U.S government didnt care about THEIR people but they rushed to help the tsunami victims? I bet they dont really wanna help these 3rd world countries outta of the good of their hearts, i bet they wanna look good in front of the world but we look dumb.

Myanmar brutal ruthless military junta does not care about the people there... they need supplies etc but the military govt is blocking it ... what a bunch of heartless EVIL people, may the JUNTA and it's so-called leaders? GO TO HELL ! (and the fact is: THEY WILL !)

Teen hour after catrina hit new orleans the Mexican goverment had more then 5oo personal with plenty of food,water shelters doctors, at the Us and Mexican border ready to help, but they where denide acces until three days latter, while people die, It makes no sence.

Yes, the victims of Katrina would agree. They should look around at the ruble STILL sitting all over New Orleans & thank the lord..AND Carl Rove. They simply shouldn't think about our government & corporations using, racism & classism in order to make huge land grabs. Barbara Bush said it best when she said blacks were now much better off- huddling in filth, death & disease at the New Orleans stadium. Fascism for a bright American future! A grand new day! Money & greed rule! Vote McBush!

The only reason we (the USA) are so interested in "helping" Myanmar is to get in and get our hooks into the country for thier oil. Myanmar Oil and Gas topped export earnings with $2.16 billion from gas last year....and they've recently discovered some very lucrative offshore oil fields. Myanmar has held off the rest of the world for long enough.. We aren't going to take it anymore.... .LET US IN!!!!

The Myanmar (stolen) government of BURMA, will suffer some severe consequences. Don't think for one moment that even their 'devoted puppet militia' will allow their families to suffer by not getting the aid pouring in from other countries... now all we need is a few BRAVE soldiers to start a REVOLUTION ! ... and get that JUNTA the FU** out of there
