to strixq and all stupid people. She did not necessarily have any interest in being famous. She just made music, for the same reason any artist makes anything. That music was liked and became hugely popular. As a result the media got interested in her. Media is not some part of her life that she has to accept on any other grounds than the fact that she can't avoid the attention. Whether or not she objected to the promotion she got from the media has no significance. She didn't ask for it.

... attract other brilliant artists. In the best of cases (such as with bjork, whose videography is damn near impeccable), two very personal and idiosyncratic artistic visions fuse into something bigger than what any of them could have done on their own. Bjork certainly has a knack for choosing her collaborators, which just goes to further establish how keen her artistic instinct really is.

Do you mean Michel Gondry, with whom Bjork made 7 videos? Here's an incomplete list of the directors she's worked with: Spike Jonze, Sophie Muller, Chris Cunningham, Stephane Sednaoui, Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Encyclopedia Pictura, who directed her latest masterpiece, Wanderlust (do check it out!). my point? A talented, and different, artist has made a point that many might not have noticed otherwise. She's highlighting social injustice. Yes, the world has big problems and she's probably living high on the hog. But is this really the way to go about it? You don't have to like her music. My best friend hates it. But you don't see her going out spouting negativity just because she has nothing better to do. She keeps herself busy! Take notes!
