I heard it from somewhere, but for the life of me I can't remember where... so I'll reference to a scource I do know, on a news show I saw awhile ago there was a man who, due to genetic defects, couldn't regulate the focus of his hearing subconciously. Due to this he heard dynamics avg human mind auto disregards, some artificial sounds hurt his ears and some just annoyed him, he also couldn't concentrate on one persons voice in a conversation etc. He tunes top quality stereo accoustics now =]

Shanomo, I'm no psychoacoustician, but just out of interest, what makes you think other animals hear more dynamics than humans? I know some animals hear a greater range of frequencies, sure, but the subjective amplitude should still be quite similar. We all evolved on the same planet, you know, with the same surroundings... I just can't imagine that there are animals with a vastly greater ability to sense changes in amplitude. Do you know any more about this? It's an interesting idea.. Thanks.

And you are correct, animals with better hearing than humans hear more dynamics in music and this would more than likely ruin song as a human can't correctly configure these dynamics. Tough I wouldn't insult him, because it wasn't completely clear in your first message, and generally insulting people is bad way to go lol =Þ Song = Awesome
