Kristi didn't fall at the olympics, she only had her hand down, unlike midori who did fell. Having said that I would have really loved to see Midori take the 1992 olys and Kristi the 1994.

Agreed. She suffered from poor music choices as well.

Actually I correct myself--- any skater in the field who could beat Kristi could have helped Midori...lol!

I agree-- Midori would have needed help from the top 3 skaters to beat Kristi...but none of them accomplished this. My point was that Midori couldnt beat Kristi on her own...

I respectfully disagree. In 1992, after original program:1 Kristi 2Kerrigan 3. Bonaly 4 Midori(Midori lost tie-breaker with Bonaly ..5 to 4 split "Ordinal". If any of the top 3 skater could knock Kristi off the top spot then Midori "could" have won the Gold. Remember at the 2002 SLC Olympic: after SP: 1 Michelle 2. Irina 3 Sasha 4. Sarah Slutskaya outskated Michelle off the top spot thus gave Sarah the chance to win.Hughes won the Gold b/c she won the tie-breaker for having won the FS.

Even if Midori beat Kristi in the long program, she still wouldnt have won the gold since she was in 4th place after the short. But Kristi had a better free program anyways

Krisite made fell in her free at the Olympics and only did 3 different triples - Ito had the better free.

I thought she might win the LP over Kristi when she finished. Her artistic marks were too low since she showed some beautiful artistry in this program. I wonder if she were even 3rd in the SP and mathematically in to win what the judges would have done. Bonaly's mediocre SP was overscored and Ito even with her fall should have been 3rd over it.

GThe Japanese have beautiful elements in their dancing that can easily been contributed to ice skating. I think your simply just making excuses. Infact maybe it needed to be more Eastern influenced, and she could have been considered "unique"... maybe... Kristie gave flawless performances and thats what the Olympics is about. Perfect Form.
