she is wonderfull ! I admire her so much ! at the first time I heard the song, my uncle showed it to me, I didn't know what was she doing, and after to see it like five times more, I became in a completely fan ! her voice ! nobody will compares whit kate never ! she is the one, and I'm sad because I've never stayed in some of her shows :( well, I don't speak english very well, because i'm from Argentina , Salta, so I hope you understand something that I'm saying :)

I grew up listening to Kate bush and believe it or not I was into Hip hop and soul, but Kate was definitely refreshing and very different. Put it this way, there'll never be another Kate Bush coz she made her mark, and there is also something sexy about her; that's my opinion. Peace!

This is the only Kate Bush song I like. But yet agian, it`s a brilliant song with I love and can hear agian and agian and agian. I like the idea that the song is about book a romantic story with ended sadly.

The lyrics are refreshing original and beautiful to me, they don't betray any hint of Kate's (alleged) immaturity, lustfulness etc. at the time. I don't see any of that in the work: she solely tells the story from Cathy's POV "You wasted my time and the time of people who agree with me and were also waiting for a response that is actually informative rather than condescending." Try and understand that it's difficult to stay objective when you keep attacking Kate Bush fans as unreasonable freaks.

I cannot say why so many people like it: I only speak for myself. No matter how much you disagree with my interpretation of the matter, those ARE the reasons why I love the song. That is the answer you want, however unreasonable it may seem to you. "The lyrics aren't poetry, they are the naive ramblings of a teenager in the throws of angst and hormones." Pls be a bit more specific. Quote bits you find immature and sparked by raging hormones. Because I find the writing, the imagery wonderful.
