> You've obviously never been a smoker.
Sure I have.
It's not that hard to quit.
You simply don't smoke. Big FUCKING deal. For 3 days you experience withdrawal symptoms then for the next few months you occasionally feel a desire to smoke, but you're no longer addicted.
This bullshit about how hard it is to quit, is just bullshit.
For a small period of time, you experience a desire to smoke while you desire to quit. All you have to do is not smoke.

You've obviously never been a smoker.

Smoking is bad for you, we ALL know. Why do non-smokers feel the need to be such dicks about it? If it's not affecting you, then shut up.

I smoked 3 packs a day. For 3 days I was sick. Not slightly. Haven't had one since 1984.

Then get addicted to at least a FUN drug then.
After smoking for a week, the ONLY reason you smoke is so you don't feel bitchy and irritable. It's the stupidest drug ever created. It takes no time at all to become utterly acclimated to the effects to the poit that there is no effect at all.

"Once you're addicted, you're a smoker for life."
That's a load of crap.
For 3 days, you're slighly uncomfortable once you quit. People who say "oh it's SO HARD to quit" really mean "I don't wanna".
If you quit for a year, smoking a cigarette will make you gag as much as any non smoker, and it includes the nausea. Smoke 2 cigarettes, you'll probably puke.

that's not strictly true that it all goes into your lungs, as the airway into your lungs is coated with cilia which create this stuff called mucus, chances are a lot of that tar will get stuck to that mucus and you swallow it, or cough it back up, but you will end up with quiet a lot going into your lungs still. Plus there is no way in telling if this person inhaled the same amount.

Yeah - isn't it disgusting? The human race truly is fucked up. People, especially the supposed smart ones who make these decisions for our society should really be embarassed - really downright embarassed but unfortunately since it's all about the dollar - all morals go out the window. The human race is already seeing it's own karma from the things it does - it won't be long before there is a downpour of all the cumulative karma and I can't wait until those decision makers see those fruits.

Caffeine - I don't think it's deadly. Alcohol on the other hand is in many many ways. I don't think banning is the way to go but what the public needs is "education" and they should step up the ads telling people the dangers of shit food and alcohol etc but at the same time tell the truth and NOT overhype the facts like they do with smoking campaigns. At the end of the day - processed food kills more people than smoking - if only people would see that.
