I think drumming is not all about playing fast and giving huge solo's, it's actually al about leading a band, and make it swing. And if there is 1 drummer who lets you swing like HELL, its Art Blakey. No other drummer can swing like he does! But if you like fast solos, you GOT TO check buddy rich out!

Art Blakey is a great drummer but i think Buddy Rich is a lot better .

Before sports "baller's" and movie stars or comedians black musicians where the first to break the color barrier and really be accepted and loved.....their contribution in blues and gospel and great drummers like Art is undeniable..........than rap happend? What the heck? ha-ha
