Just don't go swimming next to a town. A lot of the sewage is not treated, and it is dumped into the ocean right near the shore, so it's polluted. Especially, Tangier bay, and Assilah!

Ohlala I know exactly what kind of fish you're talking, here in Portugal we call him "Spider-fish". I made you the ground question 'cause I'm thinking to go to Morocco this summer for a surf trip, and I heard that a lot of beaches there got very urchins. Thank you. :p

Very nice sand. Unfortunately, I stepped on a poisonous fish called a "vive" in French, a "weaver fish" in English. My Friends have been swimming there for years without stepping on one. It must have been Karma.
