Heh. Only a true Green Day fan would know this song. That and the fact that their band name is from a song they wrote while still Sweet Children.

Yep. In fact they almost split up, after their album they were working on before AI was stolen. If they didn't do American Idiot they would have ended much like Blink 182 did. When they were recording AI they just had fun. In fact the two long tracks (Jesus of Saburbia and homecoming) were made by just having each band member make a short song. And they had fun which helped them come back together as a band.

I just like 4 or 5 songs from American Idiot...but even if isn't my fav cd by them, I think that it's a great record...something new for them and a band need to do something new sometimes.
