hooray for bad decision throws!!!! lol. actually my team got killed by some team at a recent tournament b/c they threw hammers and scoobers over the top of our cup all game. plus i dont think anyone but old guys call it a "wrist flick" i call it a chicken wing. chicken wing pulls 4tw!!

The way I throw a thumber is to use a similar grip, but hold the disk down flat in font of my chest, and just flick your thumb like you would when you click your fingers. It isn't useful for very much, but it's good to have more throws.

The Wrist flip is the spartan... or so everyone ive heard call it.

I'm on a high school ultimate team, we refer to the wrist flip as a chicken wing.

agreed, so wrong. how does it make sense when you're using more arm which equals more opportunity to be blocked. wrist has and always will be the way to go.

it also fades faster and is less useful usually if you release horizontally

thumbers look cooler in flight if you release them more horizontal.
