i think its great, because its so different. it brings a new perspective. classical music is peaceful, but it is exciting to bring something new into something old. i think its wonderful. iv played the cell for 7 years, i love it!

agreed, the beats do sound like out of place in many parts. Gives a very weird feeling

Well, I'd never think in Tom Morello for this, probably you are the only one... Tom is a good guitarist, but not for this, for me he is 100% rocker. For me Vivaldi would sound like Yngwie Malmsteen in the Rising Force album. But there are plenty of bands sounding baroque-rock...

Techniquly Vivaldi's music is from the Baroque era, not the Classical. =P
