When they say, it doesn't handle well at high speeds, how high do them mean?
Are they talking racing speeds, or high way speeds?
I couldn't imagine ever needed to go faster then 140 km/hr on a bike.

at a Ducati Monster, (Heavy more expensive), Triumph triple speed, (more expensive). I decided on a Buell XB12s. I got mine for $2,000 off sticker, it was an 2004 in 2005 with 1 mile on it ($9,200 out the door with helmet and bike cover) Ive driven it over 10,000 miles with absolutely no problems. It is fun, comfertable and gets 55 miles to a gallon, if you take it a little easy. If I wanted the fastest crotch rocket, ZX10, at the time I would have bought that bike. I didn't want it.

Wow, either some of you guys never owned a motorcycle or are extreme idiots. 1st, to me, I love anything on 2 wheels, second, when your buying a bike, be real about your decision. my first bike was an old nighthawk 650, loved it but it constantly broke down, second bike was a cbr f3, loved it. but (1) I wanted a naked bike (new standard if you will) with (2) handle bars, lower foot pegs. (3) wanted something different, not a belly button bike. (4) American made if I could. So after looking...

If you like bikes, buy one and go ride. Respect the sport enough to respect other people's rides. I've owned and loved bikes from 3 continents - most recently an XB12s. I'm not racing anyone and don't give a damn who can go faster. I love this thing - it's a blast to ride, has tons of torque. I like the feel and sound of the big twin. You have to pay attention at high speed, but it's fine.
Go out and ride; that's what is is all about.
Damn, this thing is fun...did I mention that?

Been looking at these bikes but torn between a jap sport bike & a buell. I have been riding enduro for sometime & never had a "Big" road bike before (although have road some before) Keep looking at the lightning there is something about it that floats my boat so too speek. Any advice???

Been looking at these bikes. I find them very comfortable. I think I'll probably make the purchase in the next month or so.
I've been riding Suzuki bikes until now, grew out of my supersport phase. I love the distinctive look and the practical powerband. What good is ultra-high top end on the street? Give me low down pull any day.
