Yes, below your nosewide does not mean a body-centered Sumo wrestling stance, because the upper body must drive the legs. Only lateral movement drives one forward, so do it twice—left and right. I know 20+ experienced skaters whove been to these workshops and now have better skate sense/skills but still cant figure out what DP is. Most skaters who think they DP are not. See the rolling road DP videos that end with a wire-frame animation of the technique.

I disagree, Eddy is DPing here, although perhaps not with great amplitude. Planting your foot beneath it's own hip is actually incorrect and too wide, the setdown should be directly beneath your nose.

Hmmm. Ive done these exercises for YEARS with accomplished skaters and never developed additional speed. Until I realized that whats shown here is not the DP. DP is planting your foot below its own hip, driving it over to the opposing hip (preferably further as you improve) to then snap it back to and beyond the starting sidetwo lateral pushes: left and right. I know this stuff is divisivebut the proof is in the results. Im 2+mph faster when cruising & 5-7+mph when all out.

but....
how you stop

I'm not sure I agree with that. One should take any increase in training load slowly and carefully, until one's muscles and connective tissue adapts.

training like this will punish your knees, it should be noted that once you figure out how to do 2push right, this kind of extreme training is not necessary, maybe just 4fun for short amount of time to gain confidence,to find your stability limits.if u skate long distances everyday as i do,then this kind of excess of stress on your knees is stupid thing to do.(after fast 2push 100miles in 4days my knees hurt,i regret every unnecessary excess of stress on my knees doing things like u c in this vid)
