wrong. nector glands around the lip of the pitcher scretes a sweet smelling and tasting nector. Enzyes and digestive fluids below devour the bugs. Also the bugs canot excape the pitcher ecause the sides are finely coated with thousands of stiff downward pointing hairs.

Well the pithcer plant does droen them but what lures them are nector glands around the rim of the mouth. There are thousands of doward pointing hairs that make the sides super slipery like a waterlide. Then there are digestive fluids at the bottom.

0:33 I think that's a pitcher plant, that gets insects by drowning them in the nectar that lures them.
