despite being the greatest songwriter and one of the most soulful people of all time, he cant sing this close to as well as Ben E King or Marvin Gaye (who happen to be more of the most soulful people of all time)

Erm yasmine3414 I think you are mixed up, let me explain :) Ben E King did the original version, River Phoenix wasn't even a singer and never did the original, as he was born in 1970, and the original was in 1969. He was an actor who was in a film called "Stand By Me", but he died in his early 20s. The video on youtube with him in is a sort of tribute to him :).

Fuck you dude, blaiming yoko for his death is just silly. She did love him, she may have been a bit of a bitch but she did love him and he was happy with her, and his death was in no way her fault. It is however debatable how much of the beatles breakup had to do with her. Mark Chapman, burn in hell you heartless cunt. He killed the greatest musician ever, so he deserves ANY punishment he gets. I'm surpised no one had tried to stick a bullet right through his head yet.
