I first saw this tape at a very low point in my life..the words "nobody knows me, I've got no reason to stay" hit me in the gut: my "swan song"? But her interpretation ended in such an upbeat way I had to realize that better things were coming. Okay, too much drama, but there you go. Thanks so much for posting this! BklynBoy

I love the way she flops her arms down at 4:08 There's something so moving about that gesture It really is a perfect performance of a song The ending where they make the shape of a ship is genius too well - the whole thing...

Bette is the best, this song is awesome! I remember seeing "Divine Madness" in the theaters when it first came out, and I remember being incredibly moved by this song. I still am, all these years later. So attention makers of the DVD: resolve whatever problems you've got with including this on the disc, and re-release "Divine Madness" with this soulful, magnificent performance. Such musical art can't be held to the idiocies and legalities of copyright or whatever is keeping it off the DVD.
