It has made it through Congress and is in the Senate. Contact local radio stations and contact your Senators NOW. Google Kucinich Impeach Bush. I believe he will be pushing for impeachment next month.

The ideologies were a cover for power-madness and the profit motive. Our present leadership doesn't even bother with the "niceties" of ideologies. It doesn't invalidate the main themes of her talk. She's right on about what's happening and that it's the job of all of us to set things right.

Naomi Wolf is wrong about there being "democracy" in Germany. Right after WW1 and right before Hitler Germany was an Oligarchy, not a democracy - very similar to third world countries in South America. This oligarchy created the worst economic depresion in the history of man! The people, desprate, elected the rise of Hitler. Hitler did impose a police state but only persicuted the ethnic Jews. He did not harm ethnic Germans in fact he saved the economy, suprisingly.

It is sad that she comes close but misses the point. If she thinks that this whole process began or ends with any leader she is forgetting what she herself said about "and by the way this is driven by a profit motive, you know, America isn't driven by ideologies like Germany or Italy were...(27:28-27:35)". If this problem is one of our leadership then why do we see this type of behavior clear back in 1917.

Thanks for sharing! I actually want to read the book now. I read The Beauty Myth by her and had no idea that her emphasis now is politics. Great review. I thought I had no time to listen but I just listened now at my desk!

Finally someone explaining "they did this in Germany"! Read the old newspapers! With all the modern communication (hundreds tv stations!") The only way of communcation/gathering is Internet! America needs a real TV station!

Her Bush comparisons to fascists don't fit to me. He's just playing to his cronies and misguided like most politicians. Has no diplomatic skills whatsoever. Not capable of implementing a master plan. The 'Bush Doctrine' ends soon. Let's bounce back and move on. North Korea's the one repeating facist history.

THE REPUBLICANS tried. BUT democrats were more interested in PARTY than in JUSTICE. CLINTON was able to take credit for everything, when he did nothing but FUND RAISE FOR CHINESE FUNNY MONEY.
