Nice. And before you guys criticize this 1) check your heart 2) listen to his full sermons from his website. Mark Driscoll has great theology.

He speaks of the doctrine of grace, and rightfully focuses on it, as we should make it our primary focus as well. But we as Christians do not follow under one doctrine, but rather under one God. We you cannot remove obedience from the equation. Christ said that if we love Him then we will do His will (John 14:23-24). Our purpose on this earth is to do God's will and live by His way, always in humble obedience.

What this man describes as religion is not every man's view of religion. As a whole, as he describes it, religion is certainly not something that should be held to (if only for the reason of the focus some religious people have on how some were brought up), but religion is not always expressed as he defines it. I ask people to real Revelation 3:14-20. He is by no means entirely wrong, but he is not entirely right either. It is a lukewarm message.

To say that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" is true, but does that also mean that all will continue to? When God tells us to be Holy (1 Peter 1:14-16) does he tell us to be something that we cannot be? After all, how can a man sin and be Holy? Have we all sinned? Will the majority of us continue to sin? I believe so. Are we destined to continue to sin for the remainder of our lives? Did God tell us to be Holy knowing that we cannot be? I don't believe so.

Religion is conditional, so do you say that Christ was not conditional? In Matthew 10:34-39, did he not express his intent to break family bonds under the condition that they are not based on God's will and way? And does Christ not state exactly what this man speaks against in John 14:23-24 ("If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.")? By this man's logic, God makes His home with us even before we love Him.

Very well done! I am not religious nor to I believe in a god. The reason I don't believe in a god is due to RELIGION. If they make it up as they go what is to say they didn't make it ALL up? I am left to believe in what I can see feel and touch. Science fills the void made by self righteous bigots in their quest to achieve wealth. I do however live a good life, a life with Christian values as was my upbringing. I do hope that the myth of religion is exposed in my lifetime.

All the penalties described in the Old Testament are no more because of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Loving the Lord and Keeping His commandment is still in force, but the PENALTY....stoning, killing, "put to the sword"...those were accomplished by the brutal death of Christ. Sin is still sin, but we can have life through Jesus. Yes, this guy reads A LOT. I agree, there are a lot of wing nuts on our side too. I'd be happy to try and answer any questions if you like. Have a good day.

Agnosticism is the answer for the CONCEPT of god but atheism is the answer to SPECIFIC gods. In this way atheism is the appropriate answer to all gods humans have made. However agnosoticism is equally needed simply because we cannot be certain their is no god that we have never heard from. But if we haven't herad from this "true" god than why care about it at all.

No one is in the position to say theres is or is not a god! no one has the intelect to even consider knowng the anwser. Everyone on this planet past, present and future should all be Agnostics,i personally dont believe in god, yet i dont know how or why we are here in the first place.Just because i dont believe in religon does not mean i know the anwser, i dont, never have never will.
