Smithsherman, you have never listened to Sokolov live of course. Because if you did, you would NEVER dare to say something like that. You would still have chills running down your spine...

Raoul Pugno, student of George Mathias, pupil of Chopin. Ok, smithsherman, but has spent more than a century. I think we can be more generous with this magnificent interpretation of Sokolov. A very Great version.

This is the Raoul Pugno interpetive style from 1903.But unlike Raoul,He doesn't capture the intense bleakness of this.When you've heard Pugno,this seems weak
