The movie is pretty cool. It has some HILARIOUS scenes in it along with parts like this. Paltrow is NO kim Carnes...but she DID do a SUPER job with this song! Its SUCH a tough song to do...those high notes are intense! I've heard women in K-clubs trying this song...sounded like they were strangling a cat.

Gwyneth is cute, she sings the song pretty damn good... what the hell is your f...ing problem? By the way this was her father's last movie (he is the director) and was made especially for her case she wanted to sing in a movie.

It's your opinion and of course you are entitled to it. Seeing as to how much you hate Gwyneth Paltrow, I am curious as to why you keep returning here? It's a TOUGH song and Paltrow did a great job with this version of it!

The name of the movie: "Duets" (2000) And this IS Paltrow's voice. This song, along with a duet she did with Huey Lewis, were recorded and did quite well in Australia. This song went to #3, the duet went all the way to #1. It's a great movie. Paltrow is just SO hot in it!

You are quite right...nothing could EVER replace Kim Carne's original version of this! How many weeks at number one? I think it was like nine weeks or more. That speaks for itself, doesn't it? :) I still say Paltrow did a super job on a REALLY tough song. It really has grown on me!! :)
