This was actually on the Carol Burnett Show, which debuted in September 1967, as did the song by Peter, Paul & Mary. So this skit was shot in color shortly thereafter.

This is a kinescope, which means somebody put a movie camera in front of the TV when the show was broadcast. (It was in color.) Sad to say, I saw it when it was broadcast. I could be wrong, but I recall it as '65 or '66. And I thought they were kidding around-- that they were making fun of the song. Now I'm not so sure.
