that's his technique. swings himself up on the note. gives his voice a sligtly baritonal and at the same time heroic character and keeps control. i find it super.

irgit Nilsson always said that Corelli what hands down the best tenor she ever sang with. Your comments show you naiveté. You would be better served if you spoke about things you actually know. If you study with a teacher who has fed you this content, you should investigate a switch, because no great teacher teaches this kind of disrespect of great, dead artists. Go out and learn!!! :)

Dear krauskraus21, It's clear you don't yet understand the opera world, though I applaud your enthusiasm... The 4 tenors you mention aren't dramatic tenors, and wouldn't sing Turandot in the theater. They are all fine tenors. Corelli was a one of a kind legendary voice. His technique was his technique and absolutely worked for him in the most dificult repertoire for the tenor voice with the best diction in the business. He quit singing because of his nerves at the top of his game.

His technique isn't poor. And what do you mean he's gone? As in he's dead? He died in 2003 of old age. Justify how his technique is poor. He wouldn't have been one of the greatest and most famoous tenors alive if he had poor technique.

who cares about corelli too??? can't you see why he's gone?? it's becoz he had the wrong technique!!! The only tenors who got the ryt one is kraus, gigli, pavarotti and florez!!!
