It doesnt matter how old you are when you go on pointe.. it matters if you are ready and stong enough and if your technique is good enough. I got on pointe when i was 12 and i know a girl who got on when she was 10

AMEN, Jillana! I am so tired of seeing skeletal dancers perform tricks, show off their exaggerated over turn-out, over extension, multiple turns... Ballet needs a return of artistry. It needs people whose souls are dedicated to dancing, acting, working, being more than empty technique.
