EMMYLOU still beautiful but yes she has been under the knife.Always keeps the ears covered especially her right one. That's show business.When she did this she was a fantasy come true!GORGEOUS voice and face.

Emmy is singing- but there is NO CORD going to anything.There is not a mike cord-no way that in 1981 that big j-200 wasn't going to feedback and it isn't miked. Don't watch the video and listen how many parts are on the mix. I'd bet this was recorded before the show taped with the full band. I doubt this is an awards show because the stage is so small. This is one of my favorite posts so don't get bent out of shape, We all get an opinion don't we. Miles of smiles for EmmyLou!! GREAT POST!!!!!:)

Looks like an awards show to me and she is not lip-syncing.When they use can music they mostly use the studio version and that was not the studio version.

Clearly your ear is less than accurate. If you cannot detect the differences in phrasing, you had better stop commenting on any music.

Saw her and the Hot Band in Tucson AZ in the early 80s. She did an hour and a half, took a 30 minute break, came back and did at least another hour and a half. Incredible. The only musical things I've seen in that league was seeing The Who (WITH Keith) do "Tommy" from start to finish, and seeing Alvin Lee and 10 Years After live a couple times. Peas.

This was the song that got me completely hooked on Emmylou. I still remember where I was when I 1st heard it & I sat there in a pleasant shock! O, she's NoT lipsynching...watch her vocal cords. I doubt she'd agree to ever do that anyway! I do prefer seeing her do this w/the band tho. The Spyboy version is great too.
