Fowler was my hero as a kid, at the end of the Rush era. Michael Owen is a sell out, I can't stand anything about him. He got the England spot in World Cup 98 as Fowler was injured by Thomas Mhyre in the 97 Derby. Fowler's record is superb and just a shame he never got the break at International level.

Fowler is a Great player so is Owen Fowler is better,Robbie was a fox with lightning skills,Rob lost it all by injury by the time Robbie was 26 he wasnt half the player he was at 22 Robbie Fowler had a weird legs for a top class footballer,his legs and upper body even in his goal scoring prime,Robbie just didnt have a normal footballing look,that prove something,Liverpool FC all the way! fowler anyday, hes had some brilliant comical moments aswell. like the time he did the infamous white line celebration. glad to see hes signing to blackburn on a pay as you play basis.

you can compare owen and fowler.. Owen was very fast,a very good finisher and also a good reader of the game for a young lad..but fowler is one of the best players of his generation as was owen..both truly great players.

Fowler never even won the league title. I suppose he neevr had a chance at a small club like Liverpool. Should have come to United, Robbie.

oh, man cant believe it you can not compare, Owen with Fowler, owen has got one foot,cant run and sometimes heads the ball and never smiles,on the other hand Robbie two feet,and the ultimate reader of the game,a damm shame injuries put a stop to this great footballer..

You are totally fucking clueless. Get your facts right atleast before posting. Fowler DESPERATELY wanted to join Everton but Liverpool actually made the effort to sign him, so he joined us instead. Then he turned in to the greatest striker of his generaation. Scored 100 goals quicker than Ian Rush, in a team with half the talent. The man is a legend, Owen isn't worth mentioning in the same breath as Fowler. Don't get me wrong Owen was good for us, but Fowler was out of this world good.
