if you hit the green note early on the over drive things, then hit the bass pedal right after you will hit an invisible bass pedal note. This is called "squeezing", it doesn't just work for bass pedal notes, if the note is there usually when you don't have OD then you will be able to hit it, hopefully this makes sense.
