tdm5874: Keith's versions of Gulda (and Ginastera, etc.) are great fun, aren't they? His technique is a little sloppy but there is great spirit there.

I've always thought most of Gulda's actual compositions kind of sucked, but these two (particularly "For Rico") were fucking brilliant.

I haven't found this much pleasure in music making for a long time now, and quite unexpectedly on a clavichord of all things. True, I did enjoy the prelude and fugue, but Lord love a duck "For Rico" was pure unbridled entertainment. Bravo! Bravo!

I have been listening to the Keith Emerson interpretation of P and F. I love it!! Gulda was the master of fusion. Thanks for the great video of him.
