woah Reiner stared at Heifetz like a hawk towards the end. Seriously if I were Reiner, I would have a heart attack if the orchestra was gonna fall apart just cuz Heifetz was going crazily fast.

I should've elaborated on that last comment: Although the recordings Joachim made were when he was really old and on horrible and primitive recording technology, it's still obvious that Heifetz was at the very least far technically superior to Joachim.
