I heard that story before..personally I believe the other guys because they actually have proof of where it was made and how it was made. And one of the guys who was in the video was interviewed. There is actually a documentary about it. I will give you the link once I find it again.

thats not true.. it was sold to fox the deal was that the camera man would remain annonymous, apparently the only reason he sold the footage was to pay for his daughter's wedding

Watch how the guy holds the scapel. Whoever did this also went through some sort of surgical training. Rookies always "bury" the blade of the scapel instead of dragging it across the tissue. The Navy was still using hand wound B&W cameras into the 80s. Hoaxing this would have cost a lot more than you would ever gain.
