taiwanese is a dialect. they don't only speak hokkien and mandarin. some speak hakka. there are many other dialects used that we both haven't heard of =)

taiwanese is not a language.. go search wikipedia. As I said, Taiwan is a country and not a language, they speak Hokkien and Mandarin not 'taiwanese'.

if you watched the series they play the damn song every time someone hugs someone, someone cries etc etc. the song i believe tries to convey the suble way people are aware of their hesitation and vulnerability when they are inescapable of their own inevitable emotions both joy and sadness
