Right, my observation of the last 25 years
says that there is definitely something wrong
with the main approach to play improvisational
music, which I find is due to commercial reasons. You can't be good at spontaneous
invention, if you're clasically trained or
strictly imposed a harmonic system (i.e scale based methods)to play. Computers do the mechanical job better, so let's get rid of our guitars and enjoy the robots play.

Well cant really agree with that... Only a few, there are hundreds(at least) of masters of the guitar. and certainly more than a couple of dozen. But they are few and far between with how many people play it, thats for sure.

Teach new guitarists(who can whistle in tune)to unfold lateral melodies rather than forcing them into harmonic moulds. It's a shame that the most popular instrument on earth, has just a couple of dozen master players with taste.Sure hre's one of them.

I love Joan Baez for her music and her heart but her version of this great song seems wooden, soulless. Welch and Rawlings seem so vibrant compared.

i heard this in the movie tout est parfait (everything is fine) its a quebec made picture motion about teens and suicide. it was sooo good and the music really added much to it
