Though this is not my favorite track of the CD (I've had it for years), it's still so indicative of the mental imagery invoked & built up through each song as it adds to the story (this is song#2 in the tale). My favorite is the mystically haunting Lament sung by Dierdre in the tale, with the final track of Two Trees tying the story together as only a destined romance can be tied -when love invites one last call, when death from life begins to fall. The brothers O'Danna have brought us magic.

This is by far my favorite song by Mychael Danna; better than even "The Blood of Cu Chulainn." The flutes sound beautiful especially acompanied by the other instruments. All of the comment out of the way, I was wondering if someone could tell me the name of the album this song is off of. Thanks!

This song is about deirdre, happiness is no factor. It is beautiful, sad and like most celtic songs knots your throat and catches your soul.
