Ha! I was overheated but wet from the ascent. I left all my gear in my back and put on a light windbreaker. It was horribly bitter cold in that wind. I actually thought I'd have to head back down Liberty Springs from hypothermia. I was only on the Liberty summit for about 3 minutes and slid back down into the trees asap. For the rest of the ridge I had goggles though - absolutely necessary... and of course I had dry clothes to change into. Holy crap that was fun.

My eyes usually freeze shut on similar days, how did you avoid this?
