Police brutality is alive and well in America. The police beat up a girl at Reagan National Airport in DC. They assaulted this girl and gave her a serious brain injury and made her entire body black and blue. Then they arrested HER and charged her with a made up crime to cover up the police brutality. The airport police and TSA are supposed to be there to protect us from terrorists, not beat up women.

The airline, JetBlue in this case, has almost carte blanche authority to kick someone off the plane if they get a "bad vibe" from him. Why someone who obviously speaks Arabic should not have a T-shirt with Arabic writing on it is something of a mystery. I suppose they figured it would make the passengers nervous and cause a disturbance. This is odd, considering they don't blink an eye at T-shirts and tattoos with all kinds of violent slogans and depictions. Hysteria.

I have read everyone's post now, and I'm finished. So much hatred, and also pleas for compassion. Once upon a time, in a land far, far away - the Persians and the Arabic world as a whole, were the center for development, and original thought. Europe was barbaric. The U.S. not even a 'gleam' in England's eye. No other civilization has fallen so far behind. Therein is the truth of the problem. Infidel was once a term similar to ignorant. Today it's an excuse to blame others.

Gday Flip... I suppose since you were passionate enough to write as much as you did, you might be someone with considerable opinion on my demagogue I posted today. I'm torn between the protection of free speech, and the right for a people (in this case a country of more races than any other) to protect itself. What jetBLUE did was definitely an overreaction, but I question the motives of young Mr. Jarrar, as many of his statements (interview) contradict one who recognizes the needs of many.
