This is definitely the best version. The Rolling Stone's version sucks, I hate the way they sped it up, especially the chorus!

Dobie Gray covered this song. Henry Kurtz is the person who originally sang the song, however Gray's version is the most well known.

Uncle Kracker did his version with Dobie Gray, but I gotta say, the real, original version is by far the best.

Isn't it? His voice was perfect, and it was VERY unusual to have a live tv performance rather than lip-sync.

Too bad it ended early, but thank you so much for posting this. this song is classic and it's interesting that this performance was actually live rather than lip-sync'd. It's too bad the children who have come here can't appreciate this talented artist.
