My iBook G3
BackThis is the third addition to my Mac collection. This is an iBook G3 Second Generation from 2003. I originally got it with a common iBook G3/G4 video card problem where it would boot up to either a blank or garbled screen. This is because the iBook graphics chips were soldered onto the logic board poorly and through heat and age, the chip breaks free. This is however fixable by soldering the graphics chip back onto the logic board which is what I did. For those of you with broken iBooks like mine used to be, I followed the instructions here: http://core17.com/notes/ibookGpuFix.pdf I'm collecting all New World Macs (since the iMac G3) with PowerPC processors (not Intel). I will upload videos of each of them when I get them.
