34th Logie Awards opener 1992
Back34th Annual Logie Awards opener 1992. The days when all the networks had a crack at hosting the Logies. All adding a distinctive flavour to the show. Friday March 13 1992 was Seven's turn, held at the Radisson President Hotel on Albert Park Lake in Melbourne and hosted by Steve Vizard. At the time, the "Fast Forward" team were at the top of their game and at the top of the ratings.. so their spin on the opener was both timely and very funny !! Watch out for the Kerri-Anne HEAD BUTT !! These awards made history, in as much as Jana Wendt won the GOLD but was not there to pick it up. The first time ever the GOLD Logie winner was not present to collect. Then 9 News and now 7 News Boss, Peter Meakin accepted ably on her behalf. More notably, ABC TV's "4 Corners" won the "Hall of Fame" award and it was picked up by the Executive Producer, Marian Wilkinson and the late and great TV Journalist, Andrew Olle.
