Today people are moving from ETL approach to ELT approach to maximize the usage of Database power. Now Database server are becoming very strong and they can handle Data processing very effeciently. Most of ETL tools ( Like Informatica) are trying handle this approach and moving toward ELT. Informatica Pushdown Approach converts Informatica mapping into set of temp views and run the script on database server. This reduce the I/O from database sever to ETL server
