30th Annual TV Week Logie Awards Opener 1988. The Bicentennial year and TV celebrated BIG time. BIG events.. BIG stars.. and BIG hair. This opener for the Logies telecast by Channel 9 Melbourne on the 11th of March 1988 featured a cavalcade of stars past and present.. " Happy to be stuck with you !" Neighbours star Kylie Minogue created Logies history that year by winning four awards on the one night, including the Gold. The then 19-year old was also the youngest recipient of the Gold.
